1) Which are the difficulties that you find to access to funds for energy efficiency?
Slovenia is small market for the banks and therefore needs relatively high support by state to achieve national energy efficiency goals in industry. There are a lot of financial barriers for companies ranging from limited borrowing capacity to the lack of proper energy management data.
2) How can EU-MERCI project help you to improve the issue?
We hope to gain additional knowledge and good practices of new financial instruments developed in other countries. Not only that our companies and government get new information’s but also to share results with financial companies to develop new financial instruments that would support national energy efficiency goals in industry.
