The Carbon Trust is an independent, expert partner of leading organisations around the world, helping them contribute to and benefit from a more sustainable future through carbon reduction, resource efficiency strategies and commercialising low carbon technologies.
The Carbon Trust’s mission to accelerate the move to a low carbon, sustainable economy is aligned with the overarching objective of the EU-MERCI project “to support, in a coordinated way, the growth of energy efficiency in industry processes”. We believe in collaborative solutions to climate change challenges, as evidenced in many of our projects over the past 15 years, including pioneering energy efficiency programmes in the UK, such as the Industrial Energy Efficiency Accelerator, a four year collaboration project between business and the private sector to reduce energy and CO2 emissions from industrial processes across four major sectors.
