Energy Efficiency in industry national seminar and webinar in Bulgaria

On 24 November 2017, BSERC organized its National EU-MERCI Seminar at Central Park Hotel Sofia, City of Sofia, Bulgaria. The aim of the seminar was to present to the various national stakeholders the project results and raise among them a discussion of the topics related to the improvement of EE in industrial sector and dissemination of good practices.

The Seminar was attended by 24 participants, representing mainly energy services companies and consultants, but also energy agencies, state institutions, industrial associations and companies.

The participants got acquainted with the results of the EU-MERCI project and of the application of the EEOSs and AMs in the EU Member States. Special attention was paid to the introduction of the IEEP – the EU-MERCI database, its objectives and contents.

BSERC invited also speakers from Bulgarian Sustainable Energy Development Agency, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Sources Fund, Bulgarian Federation of Industrial Energy Consumers and Encon Services consulting company.

BSERC organized a national Webinar on January 31st, 2018, which focus was on the European Industrial Energy Efficiency Good Practices Platform.

The webinar was opened by Vera Genadieva, who welcomed the attendees, briefly introduced them to the event and gave the floor to the lecturer.

The webinar included two presentations, both delivered by the BSERC manager, Dr. L. Radulov.

The first intervention presented the EU-MERCI project, its objectives, activities, partners and achievements. The second presentation provided an in-depth description of the EIEEP, instruction about its functioning and the overview of the results which could be obtained. An attempt was made to demonstrate the work with the Platform live, however, due to some technical restrictions of the webinar software used this option could not be fully utilized.
